Look at my beautiful family! My sisters Karen and Anita on the left, and just below is my sister Bobbie. On the bottom is Jason's sister Jenessa. I love family. Family means free babysitting. Family means extra cuddles for little D!

My First Portrait
Right around the six week mark we decided it was time to go professional. So of course we tried to do everything right. Feed him. Make sure he had a good nap. Make sure he was ready to perform.
So we waited there in the photo place and he was napping. Look at his cute outfit! (sorry for the little tangent) Then it was our turn to get our picturesque son in front of the camera. Jason and I looked like idiots trying to get him to smile!
He did his best. He humored us a little. 'My parents are so weird" he thought, I'm sure. And now I'm posting him on the internet to show off.

The Dedication
At just 2 weeks old, we had Dawson dedicated at County Line Church of God, our home church. We decided to do then because afterwards Jason's parents would be able to be a part of it.
Afterwards, we had a photo shoot of the newly anointed one.
We should have had his pacifier dedicated too.
Never Forget What it Took to Get You Here
My advice to pregnant women across the globe-
Do NOT use duct tape to conceal your belly button. Do not use band-aids. Just hike your pants up to your chin. That will take care of it.
May I also take the time to mention that some things should never be taken for granted. Such as putting on socks or tying shoes. Or even singing at church with a full amount of air in your lungs.
Many thanks to the husbands who will take care us during this time of "growing" (hey that was pretty clever huh?) Waiting patiently for hours with the video camera steadied on tummies because the baby will kick any minute. Ah yes, that was a nice 10 months.

And when he is old, he shall not depart from it."
