Painting Our House: The Big Reveal

It's finally here. The moment you've all been waiting for. You can stop biting your nails and sitting on the edge of your seats now that moment has arrived.
I'll wait for you to sit back and relax.
Drum roll please:
Ta-Da!
AHAHAHAHA! I'm so funny.
I make me laugh.
Here you go:
Isn't it stunning?
Like I should walk it down the red carpet at the Oscars.
For those of you with amnesia that has never been diagnosed, here's the before picture:
A little behind the scenes information about the trim color... We had already purchased a trim color. We him-hawed about it for days, trying to decide if it was really the color we wanted because there was very little contrast between that color and the primary color. I don't know if you've ever him-hawed before, but the dash in the word alone should scare you. So half an hour before the painters were to arrive to paint the trim, Jason got online and chose a new color. Then he called in the order for the new paint and drove way above the speed limit to pick it up and be back home before the painters got here.
And that is the true story of how last minute decisions are made.
Now, because the excitement calls for it, here's a side by side comparison:
I would like to draw your attention to the door. Because we painted it an accent color.
That's what awesome people do. They accent.
This color is "Brandywine". If you ever come to my house, you can see it in person. So.
And in case you were wondering, the "No Soliciting" sign on the left doesn't work. I do believe solicitors see it as a neon "Open" sign and after they knock and I continue to hide under the bed upstairs, they'll leave their pathetic brochure in between the storm door and the new and improved brandywine door. Simply unacceptable. So I told Jason to paint "No Soliciting" on the garage door.
Before I end this post, I'll give a special shout out to the company that painted our house by providing the link because they deserve it.

I like the post and the pictures and the thumbs up at the end. I'm sure too that all future solicitors will give a thumbs up to the new colors! Deb.

So, is this actually any one of the colors you had to choose from to begin with? 'Cause it doesn't look like any of them! I'd like to just go on-line on-record as sayin'. If you are going to give color swatches and then not deliver on any of them. . .

Oh, P.S. The door is killer! Did you photoshop that 'no soliciting' sign???

The before and after photos look so much different. The new color on your house makes your house stand out a bit more. The color looks great. My husband and I are currently in the midst of deciding what color to paint our garage door. It takes a lot of work to decide. Such a large part of your house to paint can make your house look so different. It's tough to make the right decision. We will definitely be making some last minute decisions. I'll look into the company you used. Seems like they did a great job.
